A new IP Address system known as IPv6 is slowly being introduced.<br /><br /></div><div>Web Wiz was allocated our first IPv6 Address allocation from RIPE at the beginning of this year.     <![CDATA[<img src="http://blogs.webwiz.co.uk/uploads/ncc-member-logo.jpg" border="0" alt="RIPE NCC Member Logo" width="200" height="64" align="right">Web Wiz is pleased to announce that we are now a Member of RIPE (Réseaux IP Européens) and a Local Internet Registry (LIR) .<br /><br />This places Web Wiz &nbsp;with other major Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and allows us to make direct IP address allocations on behalf of our customers.<br  =""><br  ="">Although the internet is mostly unregulated, the allocation and registration of Internet number resources (IP Addresses) is controlled very carefully by five Regional Internet Registries (RIRs).<br  =""><br  ="">The Réseaux IP Européens Network Coordination Centre (RIPE NCC) is an independent, not-for-profit membership organisation and serves as one of five Regional Internet Registries (RIRs). Its service region incorporates Europe, the Middle East, and Central Asia.
