In the last 12 months we have seen a dramatic rise in the number of false positives from the anti-spam filters we had been previously using. This has led to us looking for alternatives and after much testing we have found that Commtouch Premium Anti-spams ability to monitor new threats and outbreaks a real advantage to our customers.

Rather than evaluating the content of messages, the Commtouch Detection Centre analyses large volumes of Internet traffic in real-time. The unique content-agnostic technology detects and blocks spam in any language and is highly effective against image-based spam. As a result, new spam outbreaks are identified as soon as they emerge, achieving upwards of 99.5% spam protection for Web Wiz Customers. Commtouch is used in conjunction with, Reverse DNS, SPF Records, DomainKeys/DKIM, Real Time Blackhole Lists from Barracuda, SpamHaus, and HostKarma, URI Blacklist from SURBL as well as the use of Greylisting .

Customers are also able to setup their own Content Filters as well as change the action of spam flagged email from their Webmail service.
